Lamrim Teachings from Kopan 1972-1973
Lama Zopa Rinpoche

Series editor Gordon McDougall

This ebook presents twelve lectures given by Lama Rinpoche during the 3rd and 4th Kopan Meditation Courses, held at Kopan Monastery, Nepal, in October-November 1972 and March-April, 1973. In the teachings, Rinpoche gives an overview of the path to enlightenment and extensive advice on how to structure a daily meditation practice. These discourses mainly consisted of comments and explanations made as Rinpoche read the course text, The Wish-fulfilling Golden Sun of the Mahayana Thought Training

Rinpoche also discusses impermanence and death, the lower rebirths, and explains why the perfect human rebirth is highly useful. Other vital subjects covered in this course include the kindness of the mother, the ultimate nature of the mind, the twelve links and the Wheel of Life.

This is part of a new ebook series published by LYWA. The plan is to convert all the Kopan courses into ebooks, including those already published on our website and those not yet published. Read more about the Kopan eBook Project here.
